Dear Osprey Students and Families,
\nThe time has come for us to begin preparing for Osprey Week 2017<\/strong>, which runs from Monday, March 20 through Friday, March 24.<\/strong> \u00a0Please visit the AHS Osprey Week website<\/a> if you\u2019d like to see lists of which students are in which groups, or to learn more about this week of immersive learning and travel.\u00a0 A unique piece of our school culture and curriculum, Osprey Week is required for all students in all grades.\u00a0 Please note the following dates\u00a0and deadlines, as it’s important for all medical forms and fees to be submitted in a timely manner.
\nWednesday, January 18:<\/strong> First Osprey Week<\/em><\/strong> meeting for students<\/em><\/strong> with their group during advisory period, 12:43-1:35.
\nFriday, January 20:<\/strong> Osprey Week Scholarship form due<\/em><\/strong>; here is the link<\/a> to the form.\u00a0 Please understand that our scholarship funds are extremely limited and we will award full or partial scholarships based on need. If you\u2019re interested in donating to the scholarship fund, don\u2019t hesitate!\u00a0 That can be done via the \u201cmake a donation\u201d tab on our website<\/a>; please specify that you\u2019re donating to the \u201cOsprey Week Scholarship Fund.\u201d \u00a0\u00a0There are a small handful of no-cost trips this year, and we will try to find someplace in one of the free courses for your student if payment is not received by February 17.
\nFriday, January 27:<\/strong> First payment of at least 50% OW fee is due<\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0 The total cost of your student\u2019s OW will be listed in Infinite Campus under the \u201cFees\u201d tab tomorrow, Wednesday, January 18.\u00a0 You may pay OW fees through IC or via check\/cash delivered to the main office.\u00a0 Of course, you may certainly pay in full at any time.
\nFriday, February 17:<\/strong> Full payment due.<\/em><\/strong>
\nWednesdays, February 22:<\/strong> Second Osprey Week meeting for students<\/em><\/strong> with their group during advisory period.
\nWednesday, March 1:<\/strong> OW itineraries available to students and parents<\/em><\/strong>; these will arrive by email from your OW leader. \u00a0Medical forms due<\/em><\/strong>. \u00a0Please be sure to complete new medical forms if either of the following situations apply:
\nWill your child require over-the-counter or non-controlled prescription medication (e.g. ibuprofen, asthma inhaler, antibiotics) while on Osprey Week? \u00a0<\/em><\/strong>If yes and you haven\u2019t already submitted one, please print and complete the Medication Self Carry Form<\/a>, have it signed by your physician and return it to the AHS Main Office or email it to registrar@animashighscool.com<\/a>.
\nWill your child require medication that is a controlled substance (e.g. antidepressants, Ritalin, Adderall) while on Osprey Week?<\/em><\/strong> \u00a0If yes and you haven\u2019t already submitted one OR there have been any changes in medications or doses, please print and complete the Authorization to Administer Medication at School Form<\/a>, have it signed by your physician and return it to the AHS Main Office or email it to registrar@animashighscool.com<\/a>.

\nMonday, March 13: <\/strong>All Medications that will be transported by staff (controlled substances such as antidepressants, Ritalin, Adderall, etc–not over-the-counter meds) due in the AHS Main Office. <\/em><\/strong>\u00a0Medications must be in their original pharmacy-labeled packaging, stored in a large Ziploc bag with the student’s name labeled on the outside. We can not accept meds after this date.
