{"id":8111,"date":"2015-03-30T15:12:29","date_gmt":"2015-03-30T22:12:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/animashighschool.com\/staging\/?p=8111"},"modified":"2015-03-30T15:12:29","modified_gmt":"2015-03-30T22:12:29","slug":"ahs-head-of-school-search-committee-forum-letter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/animashighschool.com\/staging\/2015\/03\/30\/ahs-head-of-school-search-committee-forum-letter\/","title":{"rendered":"AHS Head of School Search Committee Forum Letter"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>March 20, 2015<br \/>\nDear Animas High School Community:<br \/>\nThe AHS Head of School Search Committee is excited to announce that we have narrowed our search down to the final candidates and are looking forward to the last phase of the process that will ensue in the few weeks following Spring Break. \u00a0We would like to communicate some important information about the process and invite you all to participate as stakeholders in our rigorous hiring \u201cBonanza.\u201d\u00a0 Bonanza is the term we use at AHS to describe our hiring process; it is a chance to gather input from many stakeholders, so that our hiring decisions are informed by the voices of the Osprey community.<br \/>\nThe Search Committee\u2014consisting of Board members, faculty, parents, founders, and community members\u2014has gone through a rigorous selection process, focusing on four principle domains of school leadership:\u00a0 operational excellence, financial acumen, instructional leadership, and cultural fit.\u00a0 After an initial screening process, we conducted phone interviews with our top six candidates.\u00a0 Based on the results, we have narrowed it down to four final candidates who we have invited to participate in Bonanza, which will be conducted between March 30 and April 9.\u00a0 The final candidates are:\u00a0 Jake Lauer, Sean Woytek, Dedrick Sims, and Bret Poppleton.\u00a0 Resumes and cover letters for all four candidates can be found on the AHS website at <a href=\"https:\/\/animashighschool.com\/staging\/hos-candidates\/\"><strong>https:\/\/animashighschool.com\/staging\/hos-candidates\/.<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nIn addition to a robust on-site bonanza and multiple interviews with key stakeholders, we will be holding community forums in the evenings to allow for families, future families, and other interested community members to meet the candidates, hear about their educational visions, ask questions, and provide feedback.\u00a0 <strong>These forums will occur in the AHS Commons from 7-8 pm.<\/strong> We would love to have as much participation as possible, so please mark your calendars for the following evenings:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sean Woytek \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Tuesday, March 31<sup>st,<\/sup><\/li>\n<li>Jake Lauer \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Thursday, April 2<sup>nd<\/sup><\/li>\n<li>Bret Poppleton \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Tuesday, April 7<sup>th<\/sup><\/li>\n<li>Dedrick Sims \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Thursday, April 9<sup>th<\/sup><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We wanted to be sure we got word out to ensure a high level of participation for the first forum that will occur the Tuesday after Spring Break.
