Colleen Dunning has been nominated for an Outstanding Teacher Fellowship this summer in England, France, Spain or New York. Here is an excerpt from Colleen’s nomination: “In addition to excelling in the classroom and making the study of Biology meaningful to everyday life, Colleen takes the time to reach out and engage with students. Colleen is known for her student involvement and her efforts to connect students closer with the school, particularly those that struggle with inclusion. Colleen builds relationships with students through activities above and beyond the call of duty. Colleen has also inspired students to be actively involved in environmentally oriented service programs and instilled in them a desire to “give back” to the community and the world.”
